Common questions
How does the match format work?
Kids, juvenile, adult white belt and master white belt divisions are scheduled for 4 matches — 2 gi and 2 no-gi — using round-robin pools (5+ athletes) or double elimination. Blue belt and above run the published bracket format with 2 guaranteed matches. Match format varies by division; see the official event rules.
What if my division is small?
Divisions may be adjusted or merged by age, weight and experience so athletes get matches. If you still don't get matches on event day, you choose a full refund or a voucher for a future United Grappling event.
Can beginners compete?
Yes. White belt divisions are built for first-time competitors, with brackets separated by age, weight and experience.
When do I weigh in?
Same-day weigh-in from 8:15 AM · 3 lb tolerance. Weigh in at least 30 minutes before your division starts. Miss weight and you move up a division; once your division begins, changes are no longer possible.
What happens if I can't compete?
Full refund up to 3 days before the event. After that, contact the organizers about a voucher for a future United Grappling event.

Registration is handled on Smoothcomp and closes September 9 · 11:59 PM.
